Airfares And Auto Prices Going Up

well, i was about to buy a car but not if they're going to raise the prices on me. it's supply and demand. if there's less demand, they need to make the prices cheaper.

When does someone in Washington wake up and do something. I don't just mean about the gas prices, I mean everything. American is slipping so fast I don't know that anything can ever fix it. Cost of everthing is bad enough but the crime is out of control. Kids have no respect for anyone or anything and guess what they learn it from their parents who just want to be their FRIEND!

It's called globalization. Other countries are developing, using more energy and the USA doesn't control those resources. Everything is getting more expensive because more people want/need energy to power their respective economies.

What we need to do is develop technologies that free us from the need for fossil fuels, but that will be costly and will upset the stranglehold energy companies have on our market, so it won't happen until people demand it. If we were to do that, we could then sell those technologies to other nations. That would help the world become a cleaner place, while maintaining our technical superiority as a nation.

Nah - better to just go drill the h@ll out of ANWR for a year's worth of oil..

BTW, I agree with Pat about kids. They're totally out of control pretty much everywhere yo go. I'll be glad when parents start getting slapped with criming liability for the things their little hellions do.

Back when, I would fly to Colorado for the summer. With the latest air fare increase I can now drive out in 2 &1/2 days, even with the higher gas prices, and not have to rent a car. Bout time I really started enjoying the scenery of this beautiful country.

Reckon ya'll should get a bicycle? Or a horse?

Forget the car buy the SUV. If they haven't already started rebates for SUV's are coming.

Is it just me, or does it seem like an obvious connection between our current administration and their personal financial gain as oil prices rise? It can be argued (as almost anything can) but if it smells like ____, it usually is.

i think the best thing to do is to buy a used car that gets good gas mileage. don't buy something too old that'll cost lots of money to fix, just get something in the middle. i used to have a bmw m5. now i drive a 1995 toyota camry that i paid around $4k for. that's less than 4 months of the m5 payment for a car all paid off.

Umm BINGO!!! why do you think we are over there in the first place. I wish more of the media outlets would investigate the Bush Families relationship with the Saudi Royal Family (who basically control OPEC) they have been in bed together for years. GW proceeded to do what GSr. tried but couldn't - profit from being president. why do you think Cheney was his running mate, cause he couldn't do it alone... This whole "lets bend America over and screw it blue" has been planned for a long long time. Remember, on 9/11 when all of the airspace over the US was cleared? Who got to get on a plane and fly home? The Saudi Royal family members that were in the US. And where is the homeland of all but 2 of the terrorist? Saudi Arabia...

Is prices going up really news? We don't need the media to tell us when we can look around and see it happened ourselves.
