Redesigned Vue boasts hybrid options
One of the bright spots in General Motors' lineup in this year of high fuel prices is the Saturn Vue compact crossover utility vehicle.

If its the most fuel efficient v6, why isn't mpg mentioned?

1 Why would it matter? You and the others will bash it because it is not an import from japan. |

1 Au contrare, if it got over 30 mpg highway, I would certainly consider buying it. |

1 And the switch to heavy metal body panels instead of the novel polymer panels that debuted on the original VUE. Also, the Honda 3.5L SOHC VTEC powertrain offered the same power with less weight and sophistication. GM gave the VUE the complex 3.6L DOHC motor. |

1 Now that I believe. I'll bet the GM motor costs less than the honda. Same for the polymer. I'll bet steel is cheaper. The accountants rule at GM. |

1 You guys can't have it both ways. If GM gave is a pushrod engine, you guys would be saying that it is prehistoric. Now that it has a DOHC, you site it as "complex" - with a negative connotation. You speak with two tongues. |

1 Excellent comment! Most of the people on here are less than knowledgeable and line up to take shots at anything GM. |

1 3.6 lackluster? I am sure it is the same one used in the CTS and coming out in the new Camaro. At 300hp, far from it! I know, we can't praise it because it is not a jap engine. |

I am not concerned about the 3.6 litre engine's sophistication. And does the 3.6 have cylinder deactivation? My concern is the weight increase of 800 pounds.

1 The 3.6L DOHC in the VUE is not the same 300hp model as that in the CTS and upcoming Camaro. The newer 3.6L has direct injection and has higher specific output. The V6 in the VUE is "de-tuned". |

It’s quite amusing watching you fumble.

I think it may be similiar to the new Traverse we got in today. It has a direct injected version of the 3.6 with aprox 260hp. |
