Not a bad idea, but a desperate attempt to settle the conflict. No doubt this matter needs to be resolved ASAP. This issue and local GM/UAW contracts are derailing efforts to turn around the General. Luckily slow sales of trucks and SUV's made it easier to absorb the loss of production. The bottom line looks bad regardless, analysts won't be patient forever. Time to move on and get back to business, too many negative distractions undermine GM's progress.
