My beautiful 2008 Hummer H2 gets great gas mileage and is a joy to drive. I'm in the TV/Film business and always need to carry a lot of gear with me .. none of which would fit in a Smart Car. That's why a Hummer suits us. Besides, with synthetic oil, tires up 4 psi from normal, unleaded gas and never going over 55, we average 20 mpg on the highway every day of the week. Btw, for those of you who believe the Toyota Prius is God's answer to global warming or the energy crisis .. do your homework. The batteries in the Prius are some of the most toxic on earth .. and just wait until they start piling up in land fill sites. Additionally, the town of Sudbury, Ontario has some of the highest cancer rates in the world. Guess where 80% of the townspeople work? At the plant that make those nasty Prius batteries. Finally, if you want to drive a 1500 pound vehicle where you'll lose your legs in an accident - go right ahead. I prefer the safety of our H2 and will convince as many folks as I can to invest in one. One more thing. When Hurricane Katrina hit .. which car do you think was able to get supplies to people? Why it was the Hummer. When the Red Cross uses H2's you know you're in good company. Other Hummer owners from around the country drove days to get to New Orleans - driving 18 hours a day through 2 feet of mucky water rescuing stranded victims. Bottom line .. I don't complain about the price of gas when I fill up my Hummer. Neither do I worry about polluting the air. You want proof? Take any new Hummer H2 to a California DMV for a smog check. You may be shocked to learn that the H2 has one of the lowest emission readings of ANY CAR on the market today. As a matter of fact emission on the 2008 Hummer H2 meets California's strict emission requirements for the year 2012. Oh, one final note. All new cars produced today ARE GREEN! Thanks for you time.
