Wonder why they like to steal such crappy cars. Could it be they are so easy to steal?

My wife's crappy 2000 integra has been broken into twice this year. I wish they would just steal it already!

Instead they just leave the wires dangling, the steering wheel messed up, and the window busted (such a pain to fix).'Bout time for a new car...

These cars are easy to blend in. The low-lives could drive it for days without bringing attention to themselves. Imagine a cop receiving a call regarding a stolen, pick your color Honda or Camry. A lot of innocent drivers would be pulled over if they were going to be proactive. That's why they don't steal hummers or bentleys.

Hondas are CRAPPY cars??? LOL!!! You need to do some research- Hondas are one of the few best cars manufactured today. THAT'S why people steal them- and not because they are "easy" to steal- given the right circumstances and lack of an alarm system, ANY car is "easy" to steal!

Why not invest in a good alarm system for about $400?

What really sucks is a co worker of mine at Orlando Regional Hospital had her 2000 Honda Civic stolen out of the parking garage during the hours between 11am and noon. They were able to break into the car, drive it away and strip it totally of everything. She reported her car stolen that afternoon (at 3pm) they told her she probably parked in a different spot than the one she was looking at. For about 3 hours they drove her around the parking garage trying to see if she parked somewhere else. After 3 hours they finally called in a police report to City of Orlando. To this day Orlando Regional Security will not go thru the security tapes from the cameras in the garage. What a bunch of crap. How are we supposed to feel secure when we go to work. They have tons of security people at ORHS. What are they doing besides drinking coffee and sitting in the security booth. Get off your butts and keep an eye on the activity in your parking garages. There are no security gates that stop you on the way out of the garage. Anybody can leave the parking garage whether or not they are an employee or not.

You are totally wrong- Hondas are consistently rated as one of the best cars manufactured and Hondas are the most fuel efficient vehicles on the roads today- and are also one of the safest, as well as being one the most cost efficient.

I guess the list will lose most of the trucks, as they cost too much in fuel to run and their value will diminish, though I suppose they're still desirable for ATM thefts, as we've seen on the news.

I can't imagine why anyone would steal a Honda Civic. They're boring cars.

No- they are not boring at all. They handle great and they drive great. One of the very few best cars on the market today. And one of the highest rated vehicles in all categories: price, gas mileage, safety, reliability and longevity.

I guess those features might be perceived as "boring", but imo, it is those features that determine what is a good car and what is not.

Excuse Em Wah. Never owned or even road in a Honda car and did no research. I have a Honda Generator that works OK. I had a Honda 450 motorcycle once that worked OK. Sort of cheap cars aren't they? Wouldn't trade a 300 Hemi in for one. Had no idea they were such high quality autos. Sorry.

The reason so many Hondas are stolen is because there are so many of them.

Cheap cars? No- not at all. Just an excellent value for the money. Not cheaply made, either- in fact, one of the BEST made vehicles out there.

Can't compare a generator or a motorcycle to a car......

And if you doubt the consistent high ratings awarded to Honda- including the Civic models- each and every year, just check out Consumer Reports- overall, one of the most highly rated vehicles for performance, safety, gas mileage, longevity and value.

Truly a gem of a car!

Yeah- but only IF one IS a FAT, lazy American- a distinction I am proud to say I cannot claim!

PS- I AM American, but not of the fat or lazy variety!

In Miami, our Honda Accord was stolen twice from in front of our house. Each time we were fortunate and found it a few blocks away (while the cops sipped on their coffee and donuts a few feet away - claiming they couldn't find a running car in the middle of the night alone in a parking lot with its lights on). Each time though, the thieves were after the air bags and as we found out, they brought some pretty good money on the street. Now we've got an alarm and ignition switch device on the car. Plus we don't live in crime infested Miami any more.
