General Motors Says About 19,000 U.S. Auto Workers Have Accepted Buyouts
General Motors Corp. , which persuaded 34,400 U.S. union employees to leave in 2006, said about 19,000 United Auto Workers members have accepted buyout offers in its latest effort to clear out older workers.
