Coleman Meets With Ford Officials On MN Plant
Senator Norm Coleman says that Ford Motor Co. officials have told him they are looking at all production decisions, including the one to close the company's St. Paul plant.
Coleman, a Minnesota Republican, had a 40-minute meeting Friday morning in Detroit with Ford's vice president of global manufacturing and director of government relations.
Coleman says he doesn't want to raise expectations, and concedes that Ford's decision to close the St. Paul plant is still in place. But he adds, "It's fair to say the decision is being looked at."
