Chrysler outfits show cars for SEMA in Vegas
Alisa Priddle / The Detroit News

Chrysler Group LLC will accessorize four vehicles for display at this year's annual Specialty Equipment Market Association show in Las Vegas.

The automaker is using parts from its Mopar aftermarket brand to trick out a Dodge Challenger muscle car, Dodge Ram pickup and a pair of Jeep Wranglers for the SEMA show that runs from Nov. 3 to Nov. 6

We'll all be there soon if economy doesn't change...wear that bit in your mouth pony boy. Complain to someone who cares.

Dispute between Chrysler Financial, GMAC traps Chrysler dealers
Alisa Priddle / The Detroit News
Hundreds of Chrysler Group LLC dealers are at risk of closure within a month, caught in a dispute between their former finance company and their new lender.

Imperiled dealers are those with mortgages and capital loans with former captive finance company Chrysler Financial but who need a line of credit from new lender GMAC Financial Services to buy vehicle stock with a wholesale or "floor plan" loan. They have temporary financing but face a mid-November deadline to secure permanent financing to stay in business

36 billion was the estimated value of Chrysler when Daimler merged them, they did not pay 36 billion for them, that is not how mergers work. Chrysler share holders got Daimkler Chrysler stock, they did not recieve 36 billion dollars. After about 10 years of being merged the combined companys value shrunk, which is how Daimler lost so much money, but with Daimler running the show they are the ones who are at fault for loss of value, not chrysler. They cut, and cut, and designed bad cheap cars and then wondered why the lost so much money.
It was done on purpose, they new exactly what they were doing. Overall they made money. Remember it was a merger of equals. They Lie!!!!

Wrong, I'm the kind of worker they WANT to KEEP! It's people like you they wanted OUT! You must be a retiree who maybe lost a few benefits but if the Company liquidated what would have then? You better hope they succeed if you get benefits.
What are you so angry about?

What Sergio likes at this point is not really the issue. The issue is that two-thirds of the assembled media don’t give Chrysler a snowball’s chance in hell of survival, and they want to know the who, what, when, where, how and why of things. Bang. Right now. And that better take 90 minutes, tops.

"Chrysler sales are now running at the rate of 750,000 a year. It probably does not have the capital to wait through another year of low US car sales with a market share that is almost certainly to stay below 8%. It does not have models tailored to the current market tastes.

Chrysler is going out of business.

The company just hasn’t made it official."

I hope Sergio is asked to explain how he will fund all the new products, re-tool existing plants, pay for advertising, and still fund the day-to-day expenses of the organization.

It’s going to take a huge investment to develop the new products and get them into showrooms – and with the current cash burn, the government money is not going to be enough.

Amen to this:
Chrysler is going out of business.

The company just hasn’t made it official."

That's business my friend. European, American or whatever. When Ford opens a plant is Mexico, or when Western Digital moves a hard drive production facility to Thailand, they are not doing it for personal gain? Of course they don't give a f**k about American workers, why should they? No more than an American company cares about it employees.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Cancer

You feel the urge to move onward, powered by your wisdom: when you're right, you're right. You may feel that any further explanation is unnecessary, but the people you're dealing with might need it spelled out for them. Take the time to draw a picture or use smaller vocabulary words to get your point across, Cancer. A public demonstration will probably prove to be the last word on the subject.
