As part of its risky plan to separate Ram trucks from the Dodge brand and expand the range into a stand-alone brand, Chrysler's corporate parent Fiat expects to add two new commercial vehicles, one large and one small, in 2012 from the Fiat group in Europe, and has slated a major face-lift for the full-size Ram pickup about the same time.

It's the toughest recession in decades. Many companies find themselves consolidating or shrinking to save money, but Chrysler is trying to grow by splitting Dodge cars from trucks to create the new Ram brand just for pickups and commercial vans.

Chrysler delivered an epic press conference/Web cast Wednesday to detail its five-year plan, including coming products.
