Auto sales take a big hit
Auto sales dropped sharply in September as consumer unease mounted in the face of the crisis on Wall Street and restricted credit.

The 'industry executives' might want to rethink their view on blaming credit problems on the lack of sales. The real problem is they build junk that nobody can afford then stick it to you on parts and service. This has been a long time coming being the Japanese have been Americanized over the last 30 years. Now very few automakers sell anything worth buying that can last past the warranty period. Additionally all the idiot drivers, insurance companies, and all the emissions nonsense have been boosting profits by literally taking the old cars off the road. My advice is to build a decent car and sell it at a price the average person can afford. If you want to cut corners you can start by ditching your advertising department that appears to have taken over my television once I get home from work.

I do not like the "your cars" -- Chrysler does not charge more than anyone else...
