If you live in Chicago and own a convertible, you're an optimist.
Top-down weather can be scarce around these parts, but the hardy ragtop owner is willing to sacrifice some comfort and convenience for the thrill of driving in the wind, sun and sky.
Convertibles have their downside. They can be noisy and cold in the winter. Visibility with the top up is limited. Storage space, particularly in two-seaters, is negligible. You might be able to squeeze a golf bag into the trunk, but your hockey sticks will have to ride in the front seat - with the top down. Read more
