The Worst Is Over For GM? Hardly

General Motors CEO Rick Wagoner said in an interview with the Financial Times on the weekend that the pain could be over for GM in terms of pension problems, retiree healthcare costs, and U.S. job cuts.

IF they can get an inproved quality reliability and AMerican made Aveo and especially bring in the 1.4 turbo 4 cyl that gets 40+ per gal combined quickly ( in the next few years at latest 2011) they should be able to sell a ton of them and even at the little profit they will make on each one,,taking sales from Honda Toyota will be a great start.If they can control ins.cost and the rest of the Bs unions bring,that will be icing on the cake and the key to future success for GM.

To little to late. 2010! wow by then Toyota and Honda should have their hydrogen cars running and their gasoline cars already averaging over 30mpg's up in the 50's & 60's. Lets face it, no one wants to see GM or Ford go but its too little to late. Think about this " A loaded Chevy Aveo or for the same price a loaded Toyota Corolla?" I mean you already know the difference in quality becuase it has been proven. GM was too focused on the trend when big trucks were popular and now that its over and they weren't prepared...They're in trouble. Say so long!
