Ford's F-150 Harley-Davidson Edition pickup designed for exclusive market
Ford's F-150 Harley-Davidson Edition pickup is a big ol' truck designed to appeal to an ever-shrinking market.

I guess its one of those things that if you have to ask, you wouldn't understand...
But, I'm going to ask anyway. What is so special about a F150 with HD logos all over it? |

If you have to ask, you just don't get it...

Guess I don't...
I don't even have Harley badges on my Harley. Sure not going to put them on my Ford... |

It's a HD slogan, Dino!
My fave was a 4 cylinder putt putt car. The owner had affixed "Turbo" from another car on it. |
|
Yeah, I've seen that a few times... Wanna-bee types? |

The Ford King Ranch and Harley lines are real nice!

Still a great truck. One of the best. But, gas prices being what they are. Not exactly the first choice anymore... I'll keep my Ranger... |

My Tundra outperforms the superchaged Harley truck all day long with a naturally aspirated engine and while getting some great fuel economy.
Ford slapped on a blower, a sub 10mpg city fuel rating, and a good old 4-speed slushbox. The HD F150's were a marketing ploy but largely recognized as clown shoes these days. |

Latest report – Tundra just jumped over the moon, and it earned 30MPG while doing so. Unfortunately, the tailgate buckled when the owner jumped on it.

Funny comments! I'm laughing my a--s--s off! Good job guys and gals! I love my old '72 Ford pickup (Homer Hunter owned it before I did!) And, I like my Toy Tacoma cause it gets great mileage and I NEVER have to fix it. I even like my one Harley (although I prefer Indians and Ducks.) I just wonder about any gimmicky thing like the HD Ford truck--they don't really need gimmicks to sell. Ahhh, but, nothing like a blower on a car--got a few of those--what fun with great mileage!

The HD edition of the F-150 is for all those folks who fall for HD's marketing hype hook, line, and sinker.

What's funny is that for the 2008 HD F150 with the optional ($6500) supercharger installed, the truck had over 20 HD badges slapped on/in it. Also, even with 450HP, the thing could only muster a 7.0 second 0-60mph time with the 4-speed slushbox, putting it well behind a 5.7L Tundra which turns 60mpg in 6.2 seconds or less depending on options. |

1 All you Toyota people have have done a disservice to your country. We need to keep American car factories from going in the red. Granted the toyotas are economically a bit mor practical, but I must be loyal to my country. I know y'all will say these parts were made in this country and that, but bottom line is the country and company who reaps the last line. Don't get all mad at me, just a girly opinion. |

only morons and idiots would purchase a four wheel vehicle and think it has something to do with a harley. do you research....the most wheels you can have as a harley is 3. its called a trike. yes marketing works for morons, hurry go purchase your crossover. its next in line for you. glad i have a mind of my own and never followed a dumb crowd going off a cliff. the crossover should go well since it sounds so close to crossdresser and it seems that the majority of morons are now gay.

1 Be loyal to your country, but you don't have to be loyal to the Detroit 3 automakers who continually layoff workers, close plants, and destroy shareholder value while CEOs collect massive bonuses. The fact remains that Ford is not expanding in the United States, yet it continually expands in Mexico and Canada, which are foreign countries. Toyota is producing more vehicles here in the U.S. than either Chrysler or Ford, and they are on an upward trend by bringing the Prius production to Tupelo in 2010. |

It's my observation that guys who insist on large trucks are by and large, really insecure and normally don't have female company in evidence. I drive a small American car daily, and haven't lacked for female company since 6th Grade. What's the deal with huge trucks...compensation for a small limp dick? Trucks serve a purpose; heavy work. Most trucks I see on the road never go near any of the work that they are designed to do. I'm not advocating getting rid of them: I want the American car industry to become what it once was. But I truly don't understand the attraction.
