I don't understand the foreign review board. They have continued to allow every other country to lease a chunk of Australia so what is wrong with the chows, could it be the big mineral companies using their political clout to stop the entry on the grounds that they would lose their monopoly of market share of being a supplier of resources to China

Palmer should shove it up his arse. It's disgusting how he and others of his ilk have lobbied successive govts to sell this country to foreign powers, because it is making him rich. No foreign nationals (without citizenship) should be allowed to own property and foreign businesses should not be given favourable treatment. Australia for aussies.

He is Obviously the cowtail for the Chinese. Now we know his true colours. Must be why he is a Billionaire eh? Another RED from QLD.

Reminder K-RUDE already sold out to China... REMEMBER THIS......... When you consider the billions being thrown at defence to counter any potential Chinese "peril" - as opposed to China's very real expanding presence on the ice, which seems to be more about nationalism and flag planting than any immediate security threat - perhaps the Australian Antarctic Division could have done better. http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2009/05/22...

Any big foreign investment is vetted. Many are rejected. 2. The Chinese are slaves of a Communist regime. That's why they are banned. 3. Clive Palmer is a moron playing the race card to get his way.

Clive Palmer is a moron playing the race card to get his way. Hello Andrew, in regards to No 1. Some years ago the Sultan of Brunei wanted to buy cattle stations in the N.T. he was told no. He then employed an Aust' to purchase on his behalf so as to beat the rule. Since then he has aquired more properties. Think of the big pastoral companies like British Petroleum,Scottish Australian and many many more. What is wrong with Clive selling to someone who will also be a customer, which guarantee's sales at a set price and provides permanent employment for Aust' workers knowing that they will have a SECURE FUTURE for their families, not like the current situation where a customer can go elsewhere for supply leaving the workforce in limbo and possibly unemployed. If I was responsible for a wife and kids I would go with Clive as the long term tenure of permanent employment for me and possibly my family is a big drawcard this day and age.
