Daniel Weihnacht grades students' artwork at North Beach Elementary, where he has taught for three years. But it was his own work that came under scrutiny at the Dade Art Educators Association Inc.'s winter exhibit, now on display at the Museum of Contemporary Art in North Miami.
Weihnacht, who graduated in 1986 from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, received the show's equivalent of an 'A' when he won Best in Show for four untitled pieces he created with colored pencil, graphite pencil and marker. Read more
