I dearly love music, but not classical. A simple fact is that there is far more music talent around than there is a demand for it. Those who are not among the very top, and no one on the Columbus symphony is based on name recognition, they ought to keep their day job. For a number of years I was a school administrator in an Ohio
school district with THE best music program. I was with our orchestra in New York City when they won "Best High School Musical Group in the World,"
with our band in St. Louis when they won "Best High School Band in America." One person is the director of the New Orleans Symphony and so many more, so I have seen talent. With our economy in the dumper thanks to President Blunderbush, the musicians ought to take anything offered and be VERY grateful.
