AN extra A 2.31million a year is being spent by Torbay and South Devon health bosses on new seven-day-a-week services to keep people out of hospitals and care homes. From this month, Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust is investing in more intermediate care, including new services at weekends and over bank holidays.

NEW refurbishments have been unveiled at Kingsmount Residential Home in Paignton, a specialist in providing residential dementia care and part of the GrayAreas group of homes. OVER 70 people attended the Torbay Business Forum's Breakfast meeting to hear about the exciting plans to restore and renovate the Paignton Picture House, located next to Paignton train station. Chairman of the Trustees for the building project, Paul Hawthorne, explained how a grant of 50,000 was used to purchase the property in November 2015 and since then, the Trustees have been developing a five-year plan to bring the building back to its glory days.
