Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire Clinical Commissioning Groups - the organisations responsible for buying healthcare services in the area - launched the "Our NHS" membership scheme as part of their continued commitment to putting patients at the front line of decisions about local care.

Public Health England South West said no cases of Shigellosis, which causes chronic diarrhoea or dysentery, nausea, fever and stomach cramps, have been reported in the county. A spokesman for the organisation said it has affected three schools in Stoke-on-Trent with five confirmed cases of the condition but added it is 'very unusual' and Dorset has 'nothing to fear.'

AN ambitious project set to 'drive' investment , jobs and housing development in Cheshire and Warrington has received a A 625,000 boost from the Government. The Northern Gateway partnership - a collaboration of seven local authorities, as well as Cheshire and Warrington and Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Local Enterprise Partnerships - aims to 'spearhead growth' in the region.
A new Staffordshire wide group made up of representatives from councils, Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service, Staffordshire Police, the Environment Agency and Highways England, is looking at what can be done.
