Dharamshala, Mar 21 Two BJP MPs from Himachal Pradesh today met Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha and urged him to provide air services to Shimla. The two BJP MPs - Anurag Thakur from Hamirpur and Virender Kashyap from Shimla met Sinha with a representation to restart the Shimla aerodrome, Jubberhatti, which is lying unused for a considerable period now.
Shimla, Mar 16 The Himachal Pradesh government is prepared to cope up with the tourist rush in tribal Lahaul and Spiti districts after opening of Rohtang tunnel, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said today. "The government is aware that the tourist rush to tribal Lahaul and Spiti district would increase after opening of Rohtang tunnel and is prepared to cope up with the situation," Singh told Ravi Thakur in a written reply in the state assembly today.
