I have an unopened bottle from the early '50's.
1952 maybe, the factory was across from burger inn next to the old chevron gas station where the amish have them storage buildings for sale. My grandpa used to work there. It's pretty kool that it was bottled here in town. As far as the walk in theaters go,not for sure but was told that one was on the block where the newspaper office is located, once again not sure, just what an old timer told me once. We used to have a public swimming pool where the nursing home's at. There was a thread sometime back of people remebering old buisnesses here in town & how things have changed over the years, we used to have a few car dealerships other than chevrolet garage. Ford & an oldsmobile I think.

I don't remember the theaters Ive seen pictures of one the Strand. I do remember how every Saturday the streets would be packed Houchens was were Tville News is. The Dime store with the fresh candy as u went in, Bradshaw & Hagans, Ross & Ross, Shedrick Bartleys, Heilman Drugs, Western Auto. Who remembers the peanut stand on the corner by Bartleys. I remember when that corner burned on a Saturday night. Downtown was decorated for Christmas, it was a different time indeed. Tville was alive then & u could get everything u wanted or needed here.
