One thing I've always wondered about is why there are so few flowering water garden ponds in Sparta. In other areas cultivated water lilies and flowering water plants around the perimeter of ponds are more common. Is it because they are not compatible with farm animals?

I think some water plants are invasive and that could be why but I'm not sure ...I passed this pond one warm spring day and there were turtles lined up on the bank so I stopped and they dove in one after the other it was the most awesome sight .
