Judge it
This is a relatively new Dell computer (3 yrs old) and it has been cleaned out before. Owner smokes 2 packs a day. Tobacco smoke is sticky & dust sticks to it.

I didn't clean my fan until about 4 years after I bought it, but it looked nothing like that.
My computer is not on all the time though and I don't smoke.
It's a wonder that computer didn't break down with all that crud. The heat sink on my 9-year old computer is only about half that size!
