Rogersville, TN - This little fawn and her mother managed to eat about 90% of our peaches and odds are they will get close to the same percentage of our pears. Not a problem since we still had enough left for us.

They are beautiful and my wife and I love to watch them. However they are becoming to numerous in many areas and really taking a toll on farmer's crops. Fortunately we don't raise crops to sell and the deer leave us enough for our own needs.

While I'm not opposed to hunting them, I would far rather watch them alive than kill them and though I have hunted for food, I don't find it to be a sport and get no joy over the idea of a trophy. The best trophy is watching them grow from fawns through adulthood.

I once raised a fawn to adulthood, he came around for long time and would eat out of your hands. I still have pictures of him.

I didn't mean to put it two times. There is something wrong with this thing called a computer. Sorry
