I intend to vote for Steve Gregg because I believe he is the only one that is running that has been certified to work in law enforcment, besides another one and no its not Doug Thomas. Doug has not been at the Jail in a number of years. Steve has proved him self in his job at the International level in Kosovo from 1999 till 2003. He has a proven record. Recently Steve saw the Bank Robber and had him arrested. He helped solve the Penny Bonnie murder case where Mes. Bonnie was murdered and her body put in the median on I64 in Frankfort. Without his help Ms. Bonnie never would have been located. Steve wants to serve the people in this county and if he does half the job as jailer as he has as being a good Police officer. Steve beleives in team work. He always says his men and woman who work for him mean alot. Steve just wants the job to get done right and everyone goes home safe. Even though I hate to see him leave the Richmond Police Department. Steve is qualified for the job. He is also taser certified. Good luck Steve Gregg you have my vote. I copied his experience off his facebook. I hope he doesn't mind.
Here it is copied fromhttp://www.facebook.com/gr oup.php?gid=219348574444

My experience is as follows, Deputy Jailer, Patrolman,Detective, Corporal,Detective Corporal, Sergeant, Major over Detectives in Criminal Investigations, Narcotic's and Street crimes unit for The RichmondPolice Department. I went on to be a Major over Patrol, K-9, StreetCrimes/Bike Unit, Motorcycle unit and Safety Offi...cers. I was in Kosovo Serbia from 1999 -2003. I trained in Texas and Virgina.I was a U.S International Police Officer working with the UnitedNations, U.S Military, Italian Military and German Military. I was a Border Police officer and then became Border Police Commander over two Border Police Stations, Cafe Morina and Cafe Prushit. I received a metal of honor from the United Nations for my service. My Border Police Stations became a training ground for Kosovo Police. When i took over as Commander we had two of the most dangerous borders. When my duty ended, my stations were two of the safest borders in Kosovo.

I guess because you were a deputy jailer that qualifies you for the job but since doug was deputy jailer for approx. fifteen years he is not qualified just because he has not been there for a few years. So please tell me when and how long mr.gregg was a jailer. Now having said that I want to say that mr.gregg has my respect if he chose to go overseas and police but see I know him and he told me that the main reason he went is because of the money which was quite a bit. You know these kind of people want to bragg on themselves but for some reason they wont tell the whole story.Steve you opened the door I'm just walking in.
