i have respect for every soldier or any other person that fights for our country...i would salute them, but i don't think i could bring myself to salute this one, i know some soldiers have problems when they get done serving their country, and most seek help, david, well just for short i wouldnt respect him if i were getting my finger nails torn off one by one, i would not BECAUSE of the things he has done before and after returned from his time in the marines, i dont think they taught him the things that he does before and now. many different things but i couldnt bring myself knowing some of the things he has done...blahhh
couldnt salute either

this is not a direct comment toward you smurf, i just saw this picture on the side of my page and clicked it and there is no where to comment so i am replying.....and the reason i agree, with "HUH" is because it is the truth, i come from a military family, Army, Air Force, Marines and National Guard and am very proud of each and every one of the soldiers that fight and never had the honor of fighting but WOULD with no hesitation that is the reason you would join, i think anyway, BUT, and that's a big one, i COULD NOT EVER, salute...nor, appreciate anything he has done for this country, i know while he was in, he was doing drugs, along with before and after, i'm not sure if that is why HUH would not salute this marine or not but i do know he was doing, selling, dealing, and whatever else you can do with them before after and during his "service" i have the smallest amount of respect ...ONLY, b/c he was there if needed, but in tbh I DO NOT think he would have went, i think he would have went AWOL and tried to hide from it, and i honestly believe this, him wearing that uniform makes me mad b/c it brings disrespect to ALL THE OTHER SOLDIERS that want to go and can't, want to join and cant, and want to live there life as an example of something this country was built on, honesty, truth, respect, and LOYALTY!!! and i can say this also, soldier or not, i do not respect a wife beater, cheater, and liars, and he is all three and all, him wearing this uniform to me represents is dishonor to his country, because he is all three of the things i do not respect in a regular citizen, and being those things and doing the things he does bring disrespect to that uniform....and the others that wear them, this is my opinion and i am entitled to it as everyone else is, thought i would put that in there b/c i'm sure sooner or later someone will say something about my comment....

I only have a short comment,(hopefully),....All but one of my family members have served in the armed forces. Including my Dad in the second WW and on back as far as we know we have had men in our family fighting for our country....EXCEPT my one 'family member'.
He went into the Marines, finished boot camp, came home on leave, returned to the base to get his orders as to where he would be stationed and WENT AWOL immediately. He stayed in different states, basically, hiding out from MP catching him. Eventually he was caught and given a DISHONORABLE DISCHARGE. A shame in any family. A shame as any American! Once he was released from a short, very short, stint in the 'brig' he returned home. Now years later he brags about being a Marine. Not only a Marine, but a "Marine, Recon". I am sickened when I hear this. Family member or not it is WRONG to try to take credit for being a Marine or a good American citizen after you have deserted the military and, basically, your country while enjoying ALL of our rights as Americans. Also I hear this 'family member' complaining about our Country and our President when he has NO RIGHTS to complain as he turned his back on our Country the minute he turned his back on The Marines and went AWOL! Not to mention he doesn't even vote because this right was taken from him when he deserted. Just Saying... and blowing off a little steam. I am ashamed to admit a person like this is part of my blood line. My Dad must have been really proud. NOT.
