That photo cannot be from a sample of the object under Dewey Lake. There has been no samples as of yet taken from the meteorite submerged under the lake. I think it will be interesting if they bring it up. I have been told, though, that there are no imediate plans to bring it up. I've been to the location, but of course, could not see anything from the surface. It is magnetic because the boat's electrical system was going crazy and the boat quit on us. We drifted a few feet away and it started again. Park Guy claims that some have seen a strange luminescence from it that can barely be seen from the surface. I did not see this when I was there so I cannot comment on that. Friday we supposed to meet with some meterite scientist led by a Christian Koeberl. Again, because I know Park Guy, I am able to see some things I would not normally see. I am hoping that they do bring a sample of this object and settle exactly when it landed and what it is made of.
