As a Peace Corps volunteer in the Philippines,
I lived in that tree house for the better part
of the month of June, 1962. The Peace Corps was
building an inservice training center in Ayala,
about three miles outside of Zomboanga and I
was responsible for the building construction.
Although the tree house was meant as an over-
stay only, the city mayor made an exception in
case and I was allowed to stay there until the
building in Ayala was complete and I had a more
permanent residence.

My sister, Bonny, & I stayed in this tree house as kids during the early 1960's. My parents were missionaries in Zamboanga City and we attended ZAEC high school. Such wonderful memories we have of Pasonanca Park. Does anyone know...is the "WeeWee Pool" still there? Nice to see the Tree House is! Reply to [email protected]
