OK. Here is a picture of Rick Ward.

Does this look like a Senator?

I got children older than this. I love 'em, but not sure I would want 'em to be my Senator.

There are some folks out there west of the Mississippi that are counting on only two candidates running for the Senate District 17 senate race. Well, for those misinformed, Larry Thomas has been campaining for over 19 months now. He has been to meeting, festivals, bbqs, door to door, shaking hands and handing out cards from the west side of the Morganza Spillway to Grosse Tete to Stephenville, back to Greensburg, Clinton, and all points in between

Larry is the only experienced candidate running for the Senate District 17 seat. Larry has served 6 years as a legislative assistant in the Senate. Larry is a small business owner and recently owned a lumber company out of Clinton, LA where he and his wife Kathy currently live.

Larry is working hard to win this Senate race. He will work even harder for you once elected. Go to his website and check it out.

www.senatedistrict17.com

There you will learn more about Larry, his accomplishments, and his goals for all the people in Senate District 17. Larry's campaign theme is "People over Politics". He sincerely means this and lives by it.

Send him an e-mail to larrythomas@senatedistrict17.c om
you will see for yourself Larry is a down to earth businessman and will listen to the people.

Thank you.

I don't know where he's been campaigning, but this is the first I hearing of this man. He hasn't been around me at the fairs, festivals, bbqs or anything else that I have been to in Pointe Coupee Parish. I'll look at the link you posted, just to see what he has to offer!

Just Curious,
We apologize for that. We had him at a festival in Chenal, he has spoke to the old timers club at Lucky Pierre's, numerous town council meetings. He was recently at the Point Coupee Police Jury meeting. Livonia, you just might see him at a local grocery store, or even a convience store just out talking to people.
He is more in touch with people in their element. Larry is not a fancey dresser, usually in blue jeans and work shirt. He believes and embodies the spirt that he is running for an office to serve the people. Not the other way around as most politicians do.
But seriously, he has been traveling around the new district 17 all the time. The new District 17 covers from St. Helena Parish across to Point Coupee all the way down to the gates of Morgan City. He is taveling almost all the time.

He is working 24/7. If you know of an event in your area, contact Larry or myself and we'll get him in there.
You have Larry's contact info, Mine is jim49597@yahoo.com
Take care Curious and we hope to see you when we are out and about. Look for the big ugly yellow billboard being pulled behind a pickup. That'll be him.

I seem to remember folks voting in a Democrate with no experience a while back named Barry Soetoro, aka Barack Obama.

Let's keep the tradition alive and vote for Rick Ward. If you were wondering what his position is on the issues, visit his website here:
