They were known as the “Noblemen’s Society”. This Gazebo located in New Braunfels City Center is a focus of amusement for a lot of us locals. Designed like the “Round- About’s”, found in Europe, it can be really amazing to see people make the complete circle without a mistake. It’s like poetry in motion, on a slow and easy highway, as the the cars turn the circle. I can sit for hours and watch. When I am not focused on the Round About itself the Gazebo is a quiet place to reflect on whatever your mind wants to to rest on. It’s a quiet and peaceful place even with all the cars. You would think it would be loud but it’s not. I think the loudest sound is when the Tower Bells chime the time of the hour and even that gives you a sense of security that all is well in this part of the world. If you can’t get to Europe, come on down to New Braunfels, Texas. Sit a while, or just float down the Guadalupe, shop for antiques, find gifts to take back home that can’t be found anywhere else in America or if you like, just stay.
