Like the pic Irish ! Never have seen pressman's home in the daylight. I used to go there and look around. Creppy but was cool to look at the past. I hear the water was supposed to be tainted with tb and germs. The inside was run down though. People or time had broken away at the side walls.
One had to watch his steps going up the steps as well. Again thank you for the pic !

I would really like to go inside that place but hear it's off limits.

The last time I went there a man came out in about 2.5 seconds and told me to leave. He was very rude and had a shotgun.

Yeah he get's pretty mad for anyone to be around there, I guess it's because of all the kids and other people that have broken into the buildings there and destroyed them. Me and a few other people used to go up there a while back but we never tore anything up, the last time I was there we walked halfway across that bridge that has no sides to it and the guy came out raising hell so we left.

I lived in Pressman's Home until I was 8 years old. My dad taught at the pressman's school which was owned and ran by the pressman's union. I had a great childhood living there. This picture is not a true reflection of the area. It was beautiful in its time. The area was a community for the pressman's families-pool, tennis courts, beautiful chapel, Hotel with full staff-marble floors-constant parties there for the family and guest of the pressman staff and students!! Also had its own post office, store, gold fish ponds etc.-
