You people make me sick, so what there is an oil lease in montebello, do you have any idea how many jobs they create? how many people they help on a daily basis? The oil industry isnt a bad industry, we should encourage the oilman to keep drilling and keep raising production. They have proven time and time again that they are getting safer and safer every year in the oil industry. The sooner we let these guys do there jobs and make more oil the cheaper gas will be, unemployement rate will go down. Look don't be an ass hole on something you have no idea what your talking about it, blame the citites tight regulations on the oil co for these spills, there the ones to blame.

The city of Montebello has recently re-negotiated it's Oil severance payments from the PXP Oil field in the Montebello Hills.

Everyone benefits from Oil production in the Montebello hills, however it now an irrelevant factor compared to WWII times.

However the fact that PXP is facing criminal charges from their cover-ups of oil spills indicates that they need to clean up their act.

BTW- also a reason that building condos on top of an oil field may be a bad idea.
