Vintage Township invites you to a Family Fun Day of Tailgating!
In Lubbock, Texas, there is nothing more anticipated than the start of Texas Football. And this year, fans have been sporting their favorite team colors all year round in hopes that the season will start even sooner! Well, here it comes, more fun than ever, and Vintage Township is more ready than ever!
Saturday, October 18th 2008, Vintage Township, a Neo-Traditional Neighborhood in Lubbock, Texas is hoping to have its biggest tailgate party yet! Being one of the many events that the Vintage Institute puts on, the Tailgating in the Park Event caters to the football fan in all of us.
Vintage Township Residents and football fans alike are invited to cheer on any of the three Texas-college teams that are being featured during the event.
Longhorn fans are welcome to come cheer on University of Texas as they take on the Missouri Tigers at Derrell K Royal Memorial Stadium in the neighboring city of Austin, Texas. The game starts at 1:00pm, but the party starts early for pre-gaming and BBQ’ing.
Or come show your team spirit for the Texas Tech Red Raiders as they battle the Texas A&M Aggies at Kyle Field in College Station, Texas. This game also starts at 1:00pm.
During halftime of these games, fans at the park usually join one of the two teams for a pick-up, flag football game of their own. Show your team spirit and participate on or off the field!
Burgers will be cooking and fans will be screaming as we watch both big games on one big screen. If you plan on coming out, bring your friends and wear your jerseys for it’s going to be a fun, colorful and a sportin’ good time.
If you would like more information about Tailgating in the Park or more of the neighborhood events at Vintage, email the Vintage Institute Director, Susie Stell, at susie@vintagetownship.com. Also, visit the website at www.vintagetownship.com today!
