You know the political esp. the Republican party wants to return to the good ol days. When you had the rich and slaves with no benefits. I watched the movie, The Help. And it dawned on me that is what the Republican want again. This time it doesn't matter the color of your skin. Just let them be rich with no questions and be their slaves. No benifits, no health care, no retirment, no medicare. And do not ask questions, otherwise it is "class warfare" and we are trying to stop the job creators, that keep the money and work the "Help" for nothing.

Could not agree with you more ! This country is becoming a Country of "have's and have-nots"... and Roe is helping. A recent poll said that the US Congress's approval rating was at 10% BUT the single minded Republicans voters around East Tennessee will continue to elect this guy even tho he votes against most benefits for the working class. I loved the recent picture of him shown handing out a check for millions (and taking the credit!) when he originally voted against the measure. Democrats don't have a chance in East Tennessee BUT I hope that elsewhere the citizens of this Country will throw out the do-nothings (especially those who do bills for their own benefit) DEMOCRATS and REPUBLICANS and elect someone who will GET SOMETHING DONE !!!
huh?

I like you idea of everyone "helping" themselves BUT we ALL (young and old) have become accustomed to having things "free" - altho they are not free ! The unemployment payment benefits are stretched out too long - unless you need the money to put food on the table for your family ... Social Security is a mess due to Congressional spending (and why can't Congress come under the Social Security other Americans have instead of their own highly inflated benefits ?)... People complain about their taxes but when the garbage doesn't get picked up, or the streets do not get paved or the local library closes early, they won't vote more money to pay for these services. INFLATION makes everything cost more. THINGS cost money and people NEED to contribute to everyone's community concerns... if ya don't pay, ya don't get the services. But do you really want a society like we had in the 1930's where children were starving. One more thing... you said "get a job"... well - in Alabama recently they did the "anti-immigrant" thing and when the growers tried to hire Americans no one applied - sure, pay someone $12-14 an hour to pick tomatoes and then the cost in the store becomes so high, very few can afford them... once again back to the "have and have-nots"...
