I don't know how the writer figured Castroville is in "North Western Texas", as read in the ad. It's near San Antonio, which can hardly be considered anywhere near north.

What he's right about is the climate and the land. You can grow damn near anything down in Hondo. Lots and lots of farmland there, but not much water. They seem to make do just fine. Late last winter, I saw tens of acres of cabbage.

Ha. I don't know if you can get ANY land for fifty guineas nowadays.
