When I was a small child my Grandma and Mother and Sister and Brother use to walk to the Old Greenville cemetary and this patriot status would scared the holy crap out of me. I would see him every Sunday rain or shine cold or hot that didnt matter to my sweet Grandma cause this is something we did once a week on Sunday Bless her heart... Her name was Viola Dempsey.....

William Percey spent $25,000 to put this statue on his father's grave.

How much was spent in 1927 to save trapped black men, women and childrenon the levee who were forced to endure? Lives were lost; people suffered.

The Percey family owned, controlled and called the shots in Mississippi for hundreds of years. One of the biggest plantation owners in Mississippi's history.

What is a statue?
