This is not the first steel bridge. It was a parallel chord double intersection Whipple Bridge.

The original bridge is no more. It was replaced some years ago. The current bridge and the highway bridge that stands beside it (a new highway bridge is supposed to be finished in September) crosses the Missouri River at Glasgow MO. The bridges are just a short distance south of the sharpest bend in the Missouri River.
