I have come to the conclusion that despite all McBarnes' faults and lies, the worse thing he brings to the election process is the people he has chosen to surround himself with. He talks about a new fresh outlook, but chooses to align himself with people who are only interested in their own agendas. Stock, trying to redeem himself from his past humiliations. Betty Wheeler whose goal is to take control of the Utility Board. Ed Cripe who wants John Kirby to be Fire Chief and thereby secure his promotion to Asst Chief. Garney Jenkins, Tom Ransom and the Slumlords who want lax building code enforcement to gain more profits for themselves. Misty Austin who wants a cushy job because she's too lazy to go out and find one herself. Elaine Lawson because she wants to be a player in local politics but knows she couldn't get elected dog catcher and knows that no political party wants anything to do with her. Chris Pippenger and Donna Chandler because they are just plain illiterate and will do anything Betty Wheeler tells them to do. The Coin Drive crowd because they think if McBarnes is elected he will support a city takeover of the golf course and bail them and the Farmers Bank out of the bad loans they made to the Country Club. And that is just a few examples, there are a lot more. I haven't been involved in politics very long, but people I talk to can't remember a candidate who has allied himself with so many people with so many peronal agendas. It's been said before you are judged by the company you keep and if that is so Frankfort is in for rude awakening.

But does it necessarily mean I'm wrong? I note you don't refute my statements, but rather try to avoid the real issue of personal agendas and individual purposes. You most assuredly have taken a page from Mr. McBarnes' playbook by sidestepping, smokesceening and burying you head in the sand to avoid having to face reality and the reality is there are a lot of you trying to feed on a sow without enough teats.
