There is... this is on the Upper Jacks Fork downstream of Buck Hollow...This is the swimming hole Northeast of Mountain View, MO. Take Highway-60 to OO-Highway turn left. Where the blacktop ends go left on the dirt road...take that to the river. There is a National Park Service primitive campground there. Very pretty area, can get busy sometimes, but not anywhere as busy as it gets downstream...especially because you'll see few if any canoes that far upstream this time of year.

Not a bad swimming hole, especially when it's not busy..I've caught a few nice smallmouth near that boulder in the water too.

I think I did once... is it the one that's really deep blue because of its depth? I believe we were there for a short while when we were driving around several years ago. I'd love to go back and will eventually, but for some reason we always seem to end up on the Upper Jacks Fork.

Don't know why, it just seems to happen that way I guess. ;)

I didn't really get a chance to show my husband too much of the Current on our honeymoon last year, mostly Jacks Fork springs, accesses, etc. I think maybe this year we'll check out the Current and all it has to offer. I love taking pictures and down there I get some of my best pictures, it's just so beautiful.
