Hey PP your name is on the Deer Park sign hanging from the telephone pole. Those signs are tacky the city should get rid of them. Just more clutter for the eye.

Now pop, you might just offend the "tourism" group with talk like that :-)

Oh well let them be offended.:-) The city should create a new sign ordinance if they don't already have one. Those telephone pole signs are nothing more than self promotion. Was that self promotion paid for by their own money or did the city pay for it? One has to wonder with the logo of Deer Park printed at the top. Isn't there an ordinance about putting signs on telephone poles? I think the city would frown if I stapled up a sign that large right below this one and had it read "I don't like these signs" with a big arrow pointing up toward it. These signs are not appealing at all and I believe they may be in violation of a code.

Yes, I photo-shopped out Lubrizol and put in Publius. Certainly these banners must have been approved by the city leaders.

I agree the signs look horrible. But, oh wait, that is beautifying the north end of the city. If that is what you call beautifying then I would hate to see uglyfying.
The signs are most likely "exempt" from the sign ordinance.
