The past 7 years I been trying to get The BOCC to do something with my ROAD UPS,Fedex,USPS won't come down my Road and EVAC most likely Won't come down either for when the tornados hit in 2001 before the BOCC own the roads in Highview they didn't go there for they claim that they were private property. The BOCC told me for 5 years that Hero Road was a County Road until I ask them how can someone sell a County road for Hero and Champion share the same Legal Description then Hero Road became a Private Road being Maintain to allow the BOCC to get to there PIT but a title search I did about 2 years ago shows every DEED on Hero saids a County Road. Every Subdivision out in what is know has Country Oaks but Highview and Buckhorn are nonrecorded PLATS that is Quail Hollow South Quail Hollow Tumble Creek North Quail Hollow Frank Priece own the Roads when he stop fixing them and the County took them over on or about 1998 by State Law after so long some say 5 some say 7 years it becomes CITY COUNTY or DOT it all depends who did the work.In my case every road in North Quail Hollow is be done but my road why? It's not that I want a perfect road it is for PUBLIC SAFETY FIRE,EVAC,SHERIFF. I am a Disabled Veteran I am a Life Member of the Disabled American Veterans the United States Congress set our Bylaws we follow the only people allow to join us you must be a P.O.W or injured during a Armed Conflict I should not nor nobody else should have to live the way I and my NEIGHBORS live. When I live in Central Florida I lived on a private road and the County came out once a month for a one time Scrape of the road so we could have the basic services we needed the road was no were near perfect but we had services

Thank you for your service to our country, it is an unforgivable disgrace that you live on a road in such deplorable conditions. Unfortunately, this county is filled with some of the worst roads in the entire panhandle, paved or not. Amazingly enough DOT has a thriving office in Chipley that employs just about everybody you meet. Makes you wonder what these guys are paid for anyway. Go around and ask, and you'll meet someone who either works there, is related to someone who does, or knows 5-10 people that do work for DOT. There was a road they repaved not to long ago that took those jokers like 2 years to put together. Entire bridges don't take that long to go up, but roads are not a maintained item here in this county. Take a ride through through Chipley one day and you'll see what I"m talking about.

You deserve better sir, and I apologize on behalf of the inept people who are supposed to make sure you are taken care of!

For God's sake, don't tell Dirt Road Rebel...you will never get your road repaired. She will work to have a STOP ORDER on any improvements...cause it will cost the taxpayers money...for lands sakes, why do we pay taxes...because for things like this...good luck Mr. Elder.

It is a disgrace , that your commissioner can do nothing to help you.
Have you made inquiries to the other commissioners to gather their input?
Unfortunately I here from other citizens throughout the county with similar complaints.
No one can understand why the public roads aren't kept up, but drive ways for friends, relatives, and fellow church members can be done. I wish I could provide helpful information, but the best thing to do , is bombard the county meetings with your situation and ask them to put themselves in your shoes, and maybe, just maybe, they will lend a helping hand just like they did for the lady on Pike Pond Road.

Or perhaps the land owners should hold the original developer responsible for what he promised. Sinse it is an unrecorded subdivision..and mostly private roads...But then again...what can you expect when you buy your land from an ad in "Mother Earth" magazine.
Some of you will know what I am talking about
