This was an undated aerial photo in a box of slides that I know were taken in the 1950's. if anyone thinks differently, please let me know.

The bank is on the southwestern corner of the square and that's where my Grandads dental office was, on the second floor. This might have been taken on a Sunday morning.

When I grew up near there it was called the town square. I think most of the out of towners called it the circle because that's how they drove around it. Hartley Inn is still there along with the bank.

The dentist referred to previously was an extremely nice fellow. I had an appoint there after school one day. Afterwards I asked if I could call home for a ride. Since I was the last appointment of the day he instead gave me a ride home for free. You don't find much of that kindness being offered today. IIRC he was also a ham radio operator.
