Brownsville, PA - the same view in 2004. In 1796 Dunlap's Creek passed under that taller gray bldg in the center of the photo. That site remained open with a road down to the river's edge until at least 1900.

This picture makes me sad to see, because i remember being a kid and there being stores open and people on the street. I think one thing that would help downtown Brownsville is to get a grocery store down there. I don't mean a little mom and pop store. I mean something like giant eagle or save a lot. Try it, it couldn't hurt.

This makes me Very Sad Also, I have such wonderful Memories of this Town! I was born there in 1957 & I remember shopping at Kart's, the Five & Dime & all the stores with my Mom & Dad...& Cousins! If I Won Big in the Lottery...I would Bring it Back to it's Original Glory!

The glory that was Rome is of another day. On Sep. 10 ,2016, I took more photos of the Neck with a park under construction where those stores used to be. Maybe they are in the photo section?

I live in FL and I seldom return to Brownsville.
