wow, this is interesting! I lived on this block, 606 Kosciusko st.
would love to know who took this picture. I also returned to find all the building gone, but mine! several years ago I took my husband and one of my daughters with me to visit the old neighborhood, boy was I surprised! It's true there was no one around, couldn't ask questions, nothing! lived there during the 50's and early 60's, went to JHS 57 White Law Reid, also went to Bushwick HS. You can email me at [email protected] looking forward to hearing from you.

I realize your last post was in 2010,hope you still check the site.

I GET SO ANNOYED WHEN LISTENING TO THE TRAFFICE REPORTS AND HEARING HOW THE NAME OF THIS STREET AND BRIDGE IS PRONOUNCED INCORRECTLY. YOU WOULD THINK THAT SINCE THE REPORTERS DO THIS ON A DAILY BASIS, THEY WOULD TAKE THE TROUBLE TO LEARN HOW TO SAY PLACE NAMES CORRECTLY. I EVEN SENT A E MAIL TO A FEW OF THEM, BUT I GUESS IT WAS IGNORED.
