Belmont, NC - What a shame if this 1878 plantation home were torn down to build new cookie cutter lake homes. What a great vineyard and house this would make as part of the gardens or a seperate enterprise.

It's NOT for sale.. probably it will be torn down to make way for upscale homes and shopping opportunities conveniently located just off the new Garden Parkway. If it's spared..(doubtful) it will feature a lovely view of the new Garden Starbucks and gated entrance to GardenTyne Village! lol!!!

this is possibly the saddest, most depressing thing i have ever heard. people seem so consumed with destroying every vestige of who we once were.does no one care about the beauty that lies in our history? im sure i sound like miss katie scarlett, but i really dont care. i love our southern land, homes, and people.
