Jury selection was set to start Friday in the long-delayed trial of one of urban music's biggest stars.

Grammy-winning R&B singer R. Kelly faces child pornography charges, prompted by a videotape allegedly showing him having sex with a girl as young as 13.

The trial has been delayed for six years and another delay was possible after defense attorneys filed a motion Wednesday seeking to postpone the trial again. Judge Vincent Gaughan could rule on that request Friday.

The reasons for the motion were being kept secret, but it came as publicity surrounding the case heats up and some media speculated about who might testify. Read more

*A process server claims he was beaten up by Mike Epps and two other men when he tried to serve him with a paternity lawsuit in Kentucky. The alleged victim told Louisville police that he was backstage at Louisville Gardens waiting for his moment to serve the comedian. As he approached and tried to hand Epps the papers, the alleged beatdown ensued.

A movie set is one of the places Tom Cruise feels most at home.

The 45-year-old actor appeared on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" on Monday to celebrate his career. It's been 25 years since the release of "Risky Business" - and the iconic scene of him dancing in his underwear.

It was the second of a two-part appearance with Winfrey.

Cruise said when he starts a new project, he's nervous beforehand, but that quickly subsides.

"There are some places that I know I belong, and on a movie set is one of them. And I get really excited, because it's something that I want to be great. I want to entertain that audience. I want the movie to work," he said. "I love every aspect." Read more
