The New Black Panthers head man, takes Obama to task over Israel and Gaza and more.

*"Right now, Obama is between a rock and a hard place. He pledged support to Israel in the election process; now he is in a position to get politically burned by that because Israel does not share his vision of reconciliation and justice.

"Ehud Barak, the defense minister of Israel and presidential candidate, is using Obama's previous statements as partial justifications for his current vicious and errant actions. So, as Israel continues to illegally pound and invade Gaza, we are not premature in calling on Obama to take the right position." -- Dr. Malik Zulu Shabazz

He had to come out in support of Israel to be elected. It would have been political suicide not to do so. The US has far to much invested in the whole Israel is pure and innocent and the arabs are terrorist meme for him to have made any other decision. Now that he has the office I really do think he should bite the bullet, as peoples lives depend on it and declare that what is happening in the West Bank and Gaza is wrong.

I agree with you on this one. I am very interested in what he has to say about the whole thing. I think the US should definitely stay out of the whole deal. Israel needs to handle this on their own. Handle something on their own for once. Let this have this one. They created a disaster. Let them fix it all by themselves but I will be waiting to see what obama does and I hope he makes the right decision regardless of what is thought of him.

This was all planned in the first place.

So, as Israel continues to illegally pound and invade Gaza,

That's sad, that someone would actually believe that. The "Dr." <g> needs to get in touch with reality.

So, Arabs continue to illegally commit genocidal terrorism against Jewish civilians, while hiding behind their own civilians...

COWARDS!!!

The New Black Panther Party is an INSULT to the name. They have NOTHING to do with the original BPP which was a truly revolutionary political organization. These NEW Panthers are nothing but racists, an offshoot of the NOI, and counter-revolutionary as is the parent organization.

No sane person takes seriously anything they say.

Isreal has had enough. First of all, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS AN ILLEGAL WAR. I truly feel for the Palestineans who are the victims of this.

But this is a lesson for them to elect someone who has their interests of forming their own country. Hamas doesn't have any agenda to form their own country nor the interests of the people, but want to use Palestine as a vessel for their attacks against Isreal.

I hope Palestine elects Macmuud Abbas and his Fatah party in power. They want to work with it's neighbors (including Isreal) and wants what's best for the Palestineans.

The Palestineans do have some issues that need to be addressed like having a large population with no space. I thought it was a great idea for Isreal to give Gaza which opens up the space for the Palestieans, but Hamas exploited it for their own agenda to launch missiles into Isreal, so Hamas is getting what they deserve and it is upon them (Hamas) that Isreal has now brought the dogs out.

Isreal could have done this at any time but chose not to do this. This was their last resort and it's upon Hama's hands that innocent Palestineans die in this WAR.

Obama is no friend of Israel! He wants to hold "talks" with our enemies, and wants to get the US out of the Middle East.

^ Hopefully he follows through with that promise. America isn't a puppet to Israel, and America shouldn't act like it owes Israel it's full support.

Israel is WRONG for what it's doing period. Not just this Gaza invasion, but the whole situation. Israel is the modern day colonial state, and they got to that status when they had that scramble for Syrian, Palestinian, Lebanese, and Egyptian lands.

You may look at Isreal as a colonial state, but here is the difference between Isreal and let's say Britain's African colonial states.

Isreal has no place to go. So the idea of them leaving the middle east is a bit difficult. Britian or the French, simply transferred power to them or left. Isreal doesn't have that backdoor. That somehow escapes many peoples thought on this issue.

So then if you have though about it, then your mindset is that of Hamas and that is to push Isreal into the Sea, which put in other words, kill them all, since they have no place to go.

Now I'm not 100% behind Isreal but I do understand why they are doing what they are doing. FIRST OFF NONE OF YOU HAVE EVER BEEN TO WAR NOR STUDIED WARFARE. I have done both.

Different than Iraq or Afghanistan here such wars are counterinsurgent operations http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Counterinsurgenc... , Isreal is enacting a total war policy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Total_war Total war doesn't care about colateral damage different than counterinsurgency operations.

Isreal isn't going to stop this time. The only way Hamas will remain intact is if:

1) Iran or another country jumps in.(unlikely)
2) Hamas kills enough Isreali's to sway Isreal support for the war which support is about 90% right now.(unlkely)

Now Isreal is going to create more insurgents using the total war policy, that is definite. But Hamas is probably going to be destroyed or crippled indefinitely after this.

Thanks for the response, very informative!

I'm not on any side of this conflict. Both sides have blood on their hands, and could have avoided this. The big problem is that Israel is an expansionist state, and it is trying to gobble up every piece of land it can get. They do this in many ways, sometimes war, more often than not by sending out settlers to increase the Jewish population.

By saying this, I'm more in favor of the Palestinians, then the Israelis [but both are wrong].

I do agree with you about the settlers. IMO I think Isreal should remove their settlers from Palestinean territory, especially if Palestine wants to become their own country. That I do agree with. It's very difficult for a country to form itself with settlers within it's ranks and establish their borders. But this is if Palestine wants their own country.

But when it comes to warfare and this type of war. Isreal against Hamas Isreal is using a total war policy. Isreal accepted the truce in hopes that Hamas would still fire rockets. But from what I am seeing Hamas didn't fall into that trap. If Hamas still fired rockets Isreal would have continued their offensive and permanently crippled the Hamas leadership.

Isreal has denied Hamas guerillas the two things that guerilla armies need to survive them being mobility (denied because Isreal surrounded the area completely) and concealment (being able to blend into the population). It's not understandable that Hamas celebrated victory becuase when a guerilla group SIMPLY SURVIVES they have won.

But this is a warning to Gaza. If they persist, Isreal will not stop next time. They will continue until Hamas is permanently destroyed. Hamas's days are actually numbered, whether through political change (Macmuud Abbas) or through the IDF.
