Obama: 'We only have one national anthem'

Sen. Barack Obama said Thursday that a jazz performer's decision to sing the "Black National Anthem" at Denver's State of the City speech this week was wrong.

That Obama has even felt the need to take a stand on Rene Marie's performance is a sad commentary on contemporary politics. Her personal decision has nothing to do with any of the issues candidates should be focused on, like the economy, national security, education, and healthcare.

That bitch should be jailed for that sick stunt. A classic example of why racism is alive and well.

I do agree with Obama's stance. Playing the Black National Anthem gives many people the impression that we as African Americans do not want to become a part of America. Do not get me wrong. I do like the black National Anthem, it is historic and cultural and if anything it is a compliment to the US National Anthem but not a replacement.

Unfortunately his opponents will use this to their advantage. But what I do not understand is why my black people want him to have stances that only isolate him from the rest of America, example (Reverend Wright and now Rene Marie).

Boy talk about crabs in a barrel which is only the conditioning of slavery in today's times. It's like they want Hilary or now McCain to actually win.

The singer at the 2009 Denver State of the City Speech will be..........

White, Asian or Hispanic. Good move Ms. Jazz Singer, you killed the booking for years to come LOL

And Obama doesn't even have the cahones to take a real stand against what she did. He is so weak.

What Obama meant to say is "the Black National Anthem isn't the National Anthem - well at least not for the next few months".

Why the singer thought it was APPROPRIATE to sing that version is beyond me.(Why Jeremiah Wright thought his sermons were appropriate in a church is beyond me, too, but that's another can of worms.)

One thing we can all thank obama for: opening our eyes, I mean REALLY opening them, to the way some in the black community see themselves and see white people, despite having themselves been born here, educated here, living here in America, taking advantage of all it has to offer...

When I think how white people have been made to feel that they and only they are to blame for racism in this country. Man, was that ever a lie.

"In the Absence of Good, Evil Prevails"

You said some in the Black Community. Who are the others? All I've seen since this started is a whole lot of "Some" and hardly any "Other".

Falsity? No, my illiterate stalker, not falsity. If these allegations were false, then they would be disproven. None have. These are issues that Obama tries to hide from. but they will haunt him until he is firmly entrenched as the most popular slum lawyer in Chicago once again.
Do yourself a favor...go to school. You are embarrassing.

OBAMA IS NOT ONLY FOR LATE TERM ABORTIONS, BUT AGAINST SAVING THE LIVES OF BABIES WHO SURVIVE LATE TERM ABORTIONS: Sen. Barack Obama (D.-Ill.) portrays himself as a thoughtful Democrat who carefully considers both sides of controversial issues, but his radical stance on abortion puts him further left on that issue than even NARAL Pro-Choice America.

In 2002, as an Illinois legislator, Obama voted against the Induced Infant Liability Act, which would have protected babies who survived late-term abortions. That same year a similar federal law, the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, was signed by President Bush. Only 15 members of the U.S. House opposed it, and it passed the Senate unanimously on a voice vote.

Both the Illinois and the federal bill sought equal treatment for babies who survived premature inducement for the purpose of abortion and wanted babies who were born prematurely and given live-saving medical attention.

When the federal bill was being debated, NARAL Pro-Choice America released a statement that said,“Consistent with our position last year, NARAL does not oppose passage of the Born Alive Infants Protection Act ... floor debate served to clarify the bill’s intent and assure us that it is not targeted at Roe v. Wade or a woman’s right to choose.”

But Obama voted against this bill in the Illinois senate and killed it in committee. Twice, the Induced Infant Liability Act came up in the Judiciary Committee on which he served. At its first reading he voted “present.” At the second he voted “no.”

The bill was then referred to the senate’s Health and Human Services Committee, which Obama chaired after the Illinois Senate went Democratic in 2003. As chairman, he never called the bill up for a vote.

Jill Stanek, a registered delivery-ward nurse who was the prime mover behind the legislation after she witnessed aborted babies’ being born alive and left to die, testified twice before Obama in support of the Induced Infant Liability Act bills. She also testified before the U.S. Congress in support of the Born Alive Infant Protection Act.

Stanek told me her testimony “did not faze” Obama.

In the second hearing, Stanek said,“I brought pictures in and presented them to the committee of very premature babies from my neonatal resuscitation book from the American Pediatric Association, trying to show them unwanted babies were being cast aside. Babies the same age were being treated if they were wanted!”

“And those pictures didn’t faze him [Obama] at all,” she said.

This is the Bill where Obama was the only dissenting voice.

I finished school a while back, you big bitch.

I've told your semi-literate, trailer-dwelling ass a thousand times that you and your racist brothers and sisters' suppositions don't require any refutation.

Your iterative rants just further reveal your frenetic state. This self-proclaimed telepathic insight that you 'bless' us with is really just a knee-jerk reaction to your white nationalist delusions being debunked.

Remove the dust from your eyeballs, you coward assed devil.

How is Obama in anyway linked to this jazz singer? Is it because he's black? Come on people.
