Judge it!
This is a watershed moment in American politics AND race relations.
If Obama is elected as our nations first black president, then his race will play a key role in how he is monitored, scrutinized, and protected.
Unfortunately, his security will be tighter than what it has ever been for a U.S. president. There will be SOME blacks that will be overprotective of him and excuse him for many of his faux pas. On the contrary, there will be a share of the white population that will harshly castigate him for those same blunders.
In any event, if it happens, it will be historical and it will change the shape of American politics here on out.
EASIER SAID THAN DONE: LET'S ALL MAKE OUR BEST EFFORT TO DIMINISH ANY BIASES THAT EXIST AND GIVE BARACK OBAMA A FAIR CHANCE AT HIS GOAL OF BECOMING OUR NEXT PRESIDENT.
