That said...law enforcement must be held to a higher standard than "Joe Blow". "Joe Blow" has the right to believe whatever he wants based on stereotypes, and he has the luxury of ignoring facts and figures when coming to his conclusions. Law Enforcement, on the other hand, bears the onus of fighting a "War on Drugs". There's no room for stereotype there. Ripping out a the dash of a Black guy's Bimmer who's never put his lips to a joint while White people with 5-lb bundles of weed in the trunk drive by going 10-mph over the speed limit is not only prejudicial and racist, it is a FAILURE TO GET THE JOB DONE. If the stated objective is to win a "War against drugs", one could rightly argue that we are routinely giving the Enemy Generals amnesty for war crimes. But of course, that's only if you believe the "War on Drugs" is about drugs...
