If Hillary Clinton somehow wins the nomination, will you vote?

With Barack Obama within 200 votes of the Democratic nomination, Hillary Clinton remains in the race even though it is virtually IMPOSSIBLE for her to be the nominee. Her only chance is if she pulls some sort of trick involving the superdelegates which could award her the nomination against the wishes of the voters. If this happens, will you still vote in November? Indications that blacks will boycott the polls if this happens. Hillary will INSTANTLY become unlelectable if she is on the ticket...pundits say.

Why would it not be automatic that a Democrat would vote for Hillary ????

The insuation or real question you are asking is WILL Blacks for for a white person if BO looses.

After all it's OK for AA's to say they are voting for BO because he supports our Black agenda, but it's prejudiced or even racist for a white person to vote for a white candidate for the same reason

for me Of Course I'll vote HRC . she will do a better JOB than BO anyway.

I have been able to vote since 1976 and have votd in every election except a special election in 1980. If Hilary is the nominee Iwill feel robbed, that the system does not work for common people, only the elites AND I WILL NOT VOTE. I have thoght about it. How better to have my voice heard and not be taken for granted. Obama has great skills and education and should be given a chance. Abe Lincoln has as much experience. Black people have usually voted for hte best candidate. We were overwhelmingly against the war from "Day1" Experience is something that is held against us as that is usually the hardest thing for us to get as we are usually shut out of things. E.g. in WWII, america let a one armed White man play major league baseball and formed a female league but no Black people were good enough to play. I guess they did not have the necessaries as Jimmy the Greek put it.

No, I WILL NOT VOTE FOR HILARY AKA REPUBLICAN LIGHT.

PS, the way Billary conducted themselves, I don't think they will be front and center at the NAACP image awards

I will write Barack Obama's name on the ballot is Hillary wins the nomination.....has nothing to do with color.....everything to do with what is just. Barack has the most popular votes, Hillary can't catch up. He deserves the nomination.

I am a registered Republican, but I am voting for Obama this year. The GOP has alienated its widest voting base, the middle class and upper middle class. It has become elitist and only the top 10% of Republican members benefit from current policies.

Having said that, Obama turned up out of nowhere (Hillary would have had my vote if Obama never existed). He very handily defeated Clinton in more states, weathered the old tricks of guilt by association, and has come out the CLEAR winner in the contest.

All she has left is a loophole in the superdelegate members, and if she somehow successfully uses it and gets the nomination, I WILL NOT VOTE IN NOVEMBER. Every Obama supporter I have talked to (many whites included) have expressed similar sentiment.

Black people have supported every Democratic (and Republican) presidential candidate, and until now all have been white men. Now, its time to put the best candidate in the best position to defeat the GOP candidate. The best Dem candidate happens to be a black man. Is there a problem? Did we miss something? Race didnt seem to keep black people away from the polls when their candidate was a white man. But Hillary will make this happen if she pulls some dirty trick.

LOL. Obama has already won the nomination. If Hillary were at this same juncture with a white male rival, she would have conceded on Tuesday. But she is staying on because she thinks that she can pull something at the convention and snatch the nomination using the superdelegates. That is not going to happen, but she is still there...why?

For blacks, it has never been about the race of the candidate. If it werent for blacks, her husband Bill would never have become President, and Hillary wouldn't had her touted First Lady "experience" to draw on. Blacks have been instrumental in putting EVERY democratic Presidential candidate in the White House. Hillary cannot get there without us, so she should forget even trying her plan.

If Senator Clinton wins the nomination fair and square, I will support my party, however, if the DNC changes the rules on Florida and Michigan due to pressure by the Clintons....I will write in Senator Obama and encourage others to do so.
If the computer does not allow me to write in a candidate......I would not vote for her because she has shown the she is selfish and divisive and she wants this nomination regardless of how it divides the party and the country. She keeps playing the race card and Senator Obama has been a respectful gentleman......who has the character and leadership ability.

Thats the point...there is no longer a way for her to win it "fair and square". By all measures, Obama has already done that. At this point, she would still be behind evn if those votes were counted. Obama wasnt even on the ballot in Michigan because Obama knew the votes were not going to be counted because the states broke the rules. For those votes to count for Clinton would not be fair to Obama.

This would have been a good topic about a week or so go, especially when the news media was running Rev. Wright coverage non-stop. I think at this point most Democrats know who their candidate will be and that's Barrack Obama. Hillary is just waiting for the proper time to end her bid with some kind of dignity. Hopefully once Barrack is the nominee the Democratic Party will come together and unite to face our battle against John McCain. John McCain has vowed to keep his campaign positive and on the issues and I'd expect the same from Barrack but we all know that outside influences will try to sling mud.

I know the last poll I saw indicated that a good number of Hillary voters said they would vote for McCain in the general election if Hillary was not the Democrat nominee. Hopefully Hillary encourages her supporters to support Barrack and united the Democrats will take the White House and start to do some of the business Barrack gives in his speeches.

I doubt that any of Hillary's supporters will vote for McCain when they find out what he is about. McCain is so far out of touch with America that he simply cant understand it. His policies are in direct opposition to Democratic ideals. A vote for McCain is a vote for George Bush's third term.

Uh...that all depends on how you count. Florida and Michigan do not count. Sorry. They were warned by the DNC that their votes would not count if they changed the primary, but they did it anyway and now those votes do not count.

From NBC's Domenico Montanaro
The Obama campaign announced two more superdelegate endorsements -- Laurie Weahkee, a New Mexico add-on, and Rep. Mazie Hirono of Hawaii. This is Obama's fifth pick up today.(The campaign also announced CA DNC Member Vernon Watkins, but we did not add him into our count, because he was already on our list.)

So far today, it's a net of Obama 7-0.

OBAMA (7): Weahkee, Hirono, Wilmer Lee Jeffcoat, Edward Espinoza, NC DNC Member John Gage, Reps. Donald Payne of NJ and Peter DeFazio of Oregon (+7).
Clinton (0): Rep. Chris Carney of PA (+1), but she lost lost Payne (-1).

The NBC delegate counts:
PLEDGED: Obama 1,590, Clinton 1,426
SUPERS: Clinton 273.5, Obama 269
TOTAL: Obama 1,859, Clinton 1,699.5.

* There are 252.5 undeclared superdelegates (about 50 of which are not named yet).

* Since the Indiana and North Carolina primaries on Tuesday, it's a net of Obama 13-1 in superdelegates.

* Obama has picked up 99 since Super Tuesday to Clinton's 13.5.

* Obama is 166 away from the magic number of 2,025.

I've voted for ONE cracka (Ralph Nader) in my life time of voting, and barely ever vote in presidential elections. Hillary Clinton will not be the second you can be rest assured. She respresents everything that is wrong with the Democratic Party. Her raced based attacks against Obama are clear, she is pandering to the white middle class, who will certainly not vote for a black man as president, so why shouyld I vote for a white woman? It's a double standard. The democratic party has long disrespected and taken for-granted the African, black, vote, therefore I refuse to vote for any candidate other then a BLACK candidate. If Hillary is the nominee I will vote for Cynthia McKinney. I am not a democrat. I am a free black man who votes in the interest of his community not the white owned and controlled Democratic Party.

Hilary Clinton is very pratronizing when she says that she is very sure that those who vote for Obama will vote for her but those who vote for her wont vote for Obama. This slaves owner mentallity is very insulting. What has Hilary done in her life to make her think that she will be better president as Obama? If she feels so sure of herself why does she needs her husband as her sheer leader.I think if she wins,it will be Bill who will be the real president of USA
